Sorry everyone for the delay on this article. In the last one, I had mentioned that the players of Kolkata Knight Riders and staff members of Chennai Super Kings had tested positive for COVID-19. The next day, Amit Mishra of Delhi Capitals and Wriddhiman Saha of Sunrisers Hyderabad also tested positive. And the batting coach of Chennai, Mike Hussey had his reports positive too. With these many cases, the IPL was finally decided to be suspended. The BCCI says that they would try and complete the tournament later this year and would ensure that the players reach their homes safely for now. As per the latest updates, the England players have reached London. But the crew from Australia might not be able to return to their country that soon. With the travel ban between India and Australia due to COVID-19 in India, the players would be flown to the Maldives by the BCCI. The 19th match was played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Wankhede stadium and Chennai won the match by 69 runs and regained the top spot on the points table.
